Introduction:
The following pages include a large accounting of Confederate
veterans and persons that may or may not have been
Confederate veterans that are at final rest or that lived in
Anderson County, South Carolina during the turbulent War
Between The States 1861-1865. Names listed were alive in the
period between 1830 and 1845 which could have made them
between 31 and 15 years old at wars start making them eligible
for service either through volunteering or the later established
draft known as the Conscription Act.
The individuals biography page following each title page shows
the military affiliation as well as some personal information about
the individual. This information is gleaned from Find-A-Grave
records, obituaries, Broken Fortunes Resource book as well as
the Confederate records found on Fold 3 and other sources.
The information herein is presented as a means to give a
foothold for personal research on the family member and is in no
way represented as the final word on the life of any individual
that lived 150 years plus ago. The only way to have an absolute
and correct lineage record is to gain all possible information and
compare with personal family knowledge.
