people was dying and doctors said that they only
knew to cure it with herbs.
After the Black Death, the number
of peasants was reduced. They
wanted to have and earn more
money. But the leaders didn’t give
them. They were angry, and made
a revolution. The King Richard II,
wanted to stop that revolution. But
he made wrong, because he
imposed a poll tax, for the rich and
poor person. But the peasants
couldn’t pay it.
The peasants attacked
their lords. Richard II
who only was 14 years
old, met the peasants.
And the leader of the
peasants was killed by
the Lord Mayor of
London.
After the king had
promised to help
peasants, their leader
was hanged. Then, there
were no more poll taxes
and wages started to
rise.
