US Office of War Information

The OWI was the propaganda wing of the government,
created to encourage people to support WW2.
It created the production of pro-allied, anti-axis
propaganda.
Most people did not want a war to happen, so the OWI
was used to explain to the public why this had to be
done.
This made the American people feel more connected
with their government.

Constitutional Issues raised during

WWII
The attack on Pearl Harbor, suggested that Americans
concluded that the Japanese were a threat to the security
of the United States.
Forced relocation meant that this would deprive American
citizens of their livelihood, their land, their freedom and the
basic guarantees of the United States Constitution
This also increased the tension between the two countries.

How did the attack on Pearl Harbor

alter the course of American history?
The attack on Pearl Harbor brought the United States
from the sidelines into the actual conflict. Obviously,
this pushed the American army against the Japanese,
but it also added American troops to the allied conflict
in Europe. However, by bringing the US into the war, it
got us out of the great depression by creating jobs;
the US was now seen as a world power, and the rest of
the world looked to The States to solve future
conflicts. It showed how we, Americans, can overcome
the struggle of war and turn it into a powerhouse of
development, science, and politics.
