ABSTRACT
This project utilizes a noble method of
effective utilization of power based on certain
priority formulated by the electricity board
Project uses a Zigbee communication
modem and embedded controller circuit which
switches off the main supply when the
consumption overshoots the specified limit.
Priorities set vary according to load
consumption on a given day.
INTRODUCTION
With growing population electric power is one
resource that is not available in sufficient supply.
Distribution of electric power should be controlled
and evenly distributed to ensure effective use of
power.
Control can be based on the following factors

A new type of embedded device is fitted in the
consumers place instead of the conventional EB
meter.
The device has wireless communication feature
and can receive information from a wireless
transmitter at the EB office of the area.
The EB office can transmit data to the device
denoting the power that can be taken by the
consumer at any point in time. This information
can be applicable for a day or a week or even a
month.
This information is displayed on a LCD display in
the consumer side device. With this the consumer
can know how much power they are allowed to
take at that point in time.
The embedded device continuously checks the
actual power taken by the consumer and if the
power consumption is more that what the EB has
allowed then after a warning and a delay the
