What is AIESEC?

AIESEC is the world’s only totally-


student-run organisation. Its
members have a fond of world
issues, leadership and management.
It does not judge people for any
reasons.

The world, and especially Europe,


had been devastated by the World
War II. Relation between countries
could have been slaughtered
forever...

...but these three visionary students


had an idea: Bertil Hedberg
(Norway), Jaroslav Zich
(Czechoslovakia) and Stanislas
Callens (Belgium)...

...conceived an organisation whose


aim would be at re-establishing the
relation between countries through
the exchange of human
potential.

So, in 1948, during the Stockholm


Congress, the Association
Internationale des Étudiants en
Sciences Économiques et
Commerciales was officially created.

Today, AIESEC is in 108 countries. It


counts upon the collaboration of
32,000 students, providing them,
per year, with 350 conferences and
7,500 leadership opportunities.
