What is Digital
Citizenship ?
Digital Citizenship is a concept which helps
teachers, technology leaders and parents to
understand what students/children/technology
users should know to use technology appropriately.
Digital Citizenship is more than just a teaching tool
it is a way to prepare students/technology users for
a society full of technology. Its being to encounter
on the internet and social media to get share
peoples opinions and thoughts. Self-monitored
participation that reflects conscious
interdependence with all digital community
members.

In the year of 2013,terrorist attack that took place
a short distance from the finish line of the Boston
Marathon on April 15. Two pressure cooker bombs
exploded during the Boston Marathon killing 3
people and injuring an estimated 264 others.

Technology Companys have been a help to people
who were victims and affected by the Boston
Bombing.
Google Inc. philanthropic arm activated Person
Finder, a digital message board and registry for
people affected by natural disasters or other crises. As
of 6 p.m. ET Monday, the Person Finder website said it
was tracking about 1,800 records of people looking for
someone they cant track down, or of people looking
to pass on information they have about affected
people in the Boston area. Google didnt immediately
respond to a request for comment.
Digital Concepts
Twitter was active worldwide, with the
#BostonMarathon hashtag trending around the
globe. Trendsmap tracked Twitter activity in real
time, showing spikes in Western Europe, South
Africa, Australia, East Asia and the Middle East.
The Guardian also created an interactive map to
show the explosion locations from a birds-eye view.
The Guardian used Tableau to show how the offers
of accommodation changed over time.
