Practical feasibility concerns of EWS and

EDS

These
systems
require
cryogenically
cooled
superconducting coils, which is difficult to attain as
temperature below 123 K is needed for such condition.
These systems require passive systems, such as
electromagnets or control circuits.
Electricity is a necessity.
In case of low magnetizing power, lift-off cannot be
achieved.
For running of EDS, an adapter is required to reduce the
frequency of the domestic AC supply.
The adapter used in this levitation technique, is not easily
available in the market and also costly which surpasses the

Problems

The team is facing problem while making a linear

synchronous motor using copper wire.
The linear motor is supposed to work by generating
magnetism due to flux change.
But the required frequency at which this work can be
performed is not available.
To bring down the frequency we needed an adapter, which is
very costly and also not very easily available in market.
Another problem we are facing is neodymium, the type of
magnet which we intended to use is very costly.
According to our estimate we need around 90 pieces of
magnets, which will cost us a lot of money.

Solutions

To counter the problem of linear synchronous motor which

we were earlier making, using copper wire, now we are
using a new combination.
In this design we will fix magnets on the middle of the
track and a revolving magnet on the carriage.
This revolving magnet will cause the propulsion in the
carriage.
Next point how this propulsion will work..
Another problem which was of magnets type was solved
by replacing neodymium magnet by fridge s door
magnets. They have appreciably strong magnetic strength
and are cheap as well.

Market survey

Market survey regarding the material required was done

to estimate the approximate budgets calculations.
Market survey regarding magnets revealed the fact that
neodymium magnet is costly and very difficult to find, it is
not readily available in the market.
Copper wires which we were earlier planning to use in the
track, was found to be adding unwanted cost to the
project.
Copper wires were required in large amount which
increased its overall cost.
Magnets used in fridges closing mechanism is cheap and
economical.

Working
Propulsion mechanism
Due to the application of the inductrack system, the carriage
now will comprise of an electric motor coupled with a gearing
mechanism.
The outer part of the gearing mechanism would consist of a
hollow cylindrical magnet.
Unlike the conventional cylindrical magnet, this magnet would
have its poles on the lateral surface of the magnet.
