SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND

RECOMMENDATION
Summary
It was evaluated to determined the water distribution of SPAMAST

campuses, determine the water consumption ,to analyze the rainwater

harvesting potential of SPAMAST campuses, to design and estimates
the cost for construction of Rainwater harvesting system in campuses.
The Highest water consumption data of SPAMAST-CAS was recorded on

July 2014, valuing 597.00 m. The lowest measured data in was 35.00
m on March 2013

In SPAMAST-Malita, the highest consumption occurred from January 2013 to

October 2014 was the cluster-dormitory or meter no.960704557 valuing

368.00 m on September 2014 . Among the Four clusters, only the Model
house has almost no water consumed in 2013 and the largest value of water
consumed was 232.00 m in the month of October 2014.
nine potential rainwater harvesting can be utilized. The Dormitory,

Academic building, Administration building, FMS building, Education building

and the General education building in SPAMAST-Main Malita, one from
SPAMAST-CAS Digos where the General Education building. The womens
dormitory and the General education building in Buhangin campus.

In designing rainwater harvesting system the utilization of water is

need to be considered in order to lessen the procurement of water

from the local water provider and the erosion of river banks will be
lessened.
The design is focused in flushing of comfort rooms and for the

irrigation purposes.
The total cost estimates for construction of rainwater harvesting

system in SPAMAST Campuses was 924,663.92 pesos.

Conclusion
The following conclusions were drawn:
the water that procured from water districts will be decreased with

the help of this technology.

Rainwater harvesting is seems to be a perfect replacement for

surface & ground water as later is concerned with the rising cost as
well as ecological problems.
It was finally concluded that implementation of RAINWATER

HARVESTING PROJECT to the campuses of SPAMAST.

Recommendation
There is a need to conduct seminar and training on the current

issues on water problems and purchasing, and introduced the

benefits of rainwater harvesting system in the community.
There should be monthly data of consumption of water that are

pump underground in every campus.

There should be maintenance in water distribution lines in

SPAMAST campuses.

Therefore, water is highly a precious natural resource which is

always in high demand today and thus, RAINWATER HARVESTING

AT SPAMAST campuses is highly recommended.
