Definitions:
Antenna Carrier:
Rx AxC = one frequency channel (Rx AxC) data from one antenna.
AxC is routed between SM and FR via a RP3 link using RP3 scheduling rules.
Tx AxC = DL antenna data stream from SM to FR.
For example in 2xUL / 1xDL diversity there are 2 Rx AxC and 2 Tx AxC
Carrier
Frequency layer e.g in 1+1+1 configuration all cells are in same frequency and one carrier. Rel2.2 multicarrier radio module capable to support in one pipe (=TRX=branch):
up to 6 GSM/EDGE carriers in GSM dedicated mode
up to 4 WCDMA carriers in WCDMA dedicated mode and
In concurrent mode combination of all three radio technologies is supported with single radio branch.
Carriers can be split to multiple radio pipes within one sector to increase the output power and thus the BTS coverage.
The radio technology is changed from single carrier power amplifiers to multi carrier power amplifiers, which means that the TX combining modules can be omitted
coherent combining being possibly an exception to that.
Single Carrier/TRX can be shut down.
Sector
RF module is capable to serve 3 sectors with multimode multicarrier radios of up to 60W output power/branch. GSM/EDGE system modules with integrated
baseband processing for up
to 18 and 36 TRX capacities. In WCDMA Sector = Cell.
Frequency band
primary and extended GSM900 MHz frequency band (3GPP operating band VIII).
DCS1800 MHz frequency band (3GPP operating band III)
GSM850 MHz frequency band (3GPP operating bands V, VI, XVIII and XIX)
PCS1900 MHz frequency band (3GPP operating band II).
Radio branch
One branch, or antenna interface with duplex RX&TX for the main branch or RX for diversity branch, can carry max 6 carriers/TRXs in GSM. A single radio branch
can be shared between operators; up to three BCCH (cells) can be allocated to a single branch and they can have different power levels.
Radio module is capable to serve 3 sectors with multimode multicarrier radios of up to 60W output power/branch. In concurrent mode combination of all three radio
technologies is supported with single radio branch, but only two technologies are supported at the same time.
Cell
WCDMA: one cell = one sector
GSM: one cell is a geografical area covered by antenna beams directed to same direction. GSM cell consists of one to several TRX's from same or different radio (
and BTS). In this Configuration GSM cell size ( # of TRX) is referring to those TRX:s used from Flexi radio.
MIMO (WCDMA) (not supported in RU20 concurrent configurations)
MIMO requires two TX branches for each sector or cell from the 3-sector RM. The extra receivers in the branches can be used for 4-way RX diversity. MIMO can
be configured using branches from two different RMs as well. 3-sector MIMO configuration can be made using two RMs.

Technical Details
WCDMA GSM RF Sharing
Synchronisation:
RFs can be connected freely to any opt1opt3 in ESMB/C or FR to opt1opt3 in FSM. Primary link of shared RF have to
connect to
opt1opt3 in FSM rel3 and secondary link can connect to FBBA opt4 or opt5.
Shared RF Module must be physically connected to the same interface (RP3 interface) in both technology System Modules.
Connection rule for only dedicated RF(s):
RF or chain of RFs can be connected freely to any opt1opt4 to ESMB/C or FR to opt1...opt6 to FSM
Shared RFs can be connected freely to any opt1opt3 in ESMB/C or FR to opt1opt3 in FSM (Primary link)
Shared RF Module must be physically connected to the same interface (RP3 interface) in both technology System Modules.
ESMB/C: Dedicated RF can be connected freely to opt1opt3 if available. Dedicated RF may here be at the same time part
of chained RFs.

Installation recommendations:
NOTE: For all partners this must be performed for each site.
Rigger must deduce the sectors based on DT and optimization feedback
or Based on north direction and take clockwise direction to determine SecA, B, C and D plus label the sectors respectively.
Marking/Labeling all jumper cables, fiber cables on both ends for each
sector in order to not mix/cross the cables at wrong sector.
Taking photos for existing electrical tilts value at Ant. Bottom mentioning
site and sector id for each photo, in order to set the right electrical tilt value
after installing the RET.
Antenna jumper cables 1.512 m, Max. Recommended value=5m.
Installing the RET of lower serial number for Sec-A, the higher serial
number for Sec-B and so on to facilitate work tracking activities.
All partners should follow same RET standard as this will ease the remote
modification of RET angles
Note: For Penta band Antenna separate MOP already shared for RET
installation and configuration.

Dear Installer
Note: Write down the serial numbers
of the RTAxs and mark each in which
sector they can be found. Install the
RTAx with the lowest serial number
for the cell with the lowest number,
continue like this until you end up
with the RTAx with the highest serial
number installed for the cell with the
highest number. This way, the RTAx
positions can be traced without
climbing the mast

Always be sure that the Slave technology's SCF is up-to-date with the Master's SCF.
The preconditions are:
The BTS Site Manager is running and connection to the BTS is established.
Appropriate SW and licenses are downloaded to the BTS.
The RFMs/RRHs and ALDs are correctly detected.
There are no unexpected alarms.
34
5/6/15
Make sure that all the WCDMA carriers along with the GSM TRXs/WCDMA carriers are within the RFMs'/RRHs'
bandwidths.
Note that TCH-TRXs have to be allocated at least 2 MHz away from the WCDMA cell's center frequency. Thus
overlapping the edges of WCDMA cell bandwidth is allowed and below alarm will be generated.
