Saipan Legends on
Creationism
RIGGZ AWIT
What is Creationism?
Creationism is the belief that the world was created by a divine being.
In Greek mythology, the world was created by a single god who felt
lonely.
In Saipan legends, the world was created by two siblings who offered
their life before the end of their existence.
Literature Review
Books such as Marianas Island Legends: Myth and Magic and Tales
and Legends fom Micronesia provided mini stories that tell different
legends of the past that have been passed down from generation to
generation.
For example, Puntan and Fuuna who were siblings, used themselves to
create Earth using their own body.
What are the differences and similarities between Greek Mythology and
Saipan Legends Relating to Creationism?
