DESIGN CRITERIA
DESIGN OBJECTIVE:
TO DESIGN A CONVENTION CENTER THAT WILL BE ABLE TO OFFER VISITORS EVERYTHING
THEY ARE LOOKING FOR IN A CONVENTION DESTINATION, VACATION GETAWAY OR BUSINESS
TRIP AND TO BRING TOGETHER EFFICIENCY, FLEXIBILITY, AND A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY:
EVERY DESIGN SOLUTION SHOULD BE ABLE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM AND NOT TO MAKE
MATTERS WORSE.
DESIGN CONCEPT:
HOW I ENVISION THIS URBAN CONVENTION RESORT COMPLEX ENTER IS THAT THE
CONVENTION CENTER IS SEPARATE FROM THE HOTEL, RESORT, AND LEISURE & DINING
FACILITIES. THE HOTEL ROOMS WILL HAVE A VIEW OVERLOOKING THE CONVENTION CENTER
AND THE CITYSCAPE OF CEBU CITY WITH A BODY OF WATER IN THE BACKGROUND. THE
CONVENTION CENTER MUST STAND OUT FROM ITS BACKGROUND.
UTILITY CONCEPT WILL HAVE A RAIN WATER COLLECTION SYSTEM FROM THE HOTEL AND
CONVENTION CENTER. THIS WILL BE USED TO WATER THE LANDSCAPE OF THE SITE..
THE CONVENTION CENTER WILL HAVE A PORTION OF GREEN ROOF. THIS GREEN ROOF WILL
BE THE OUTDOOR EXHIBITION AREAS.
