Sensor interfacing and signal condition

FGAA will detect analog signal from input sensors and process it in Configurable
Analog Blocks (CAB).

Signals will be processed as programmed complex analog functions using CAMs as

building blocks and gives desirable output according to the software programmed.

Example: amplification, linearization , filtering

Complex filtering in various application

The usual way filters are designed is to have a concrete specification of the
transmission characteristics of the filter.

Once all the specifications are fixed for the respective application, filter
information transformed into an actual transfer function.

Precision Control

Precision Controlis the specialist in integration of disparate technologies

whether they are ProcessControlsystems (DCS/PLC), SCADA, Telemetry or
Management Information systems.

Ultra low frequency signal conditioning

Ultra low frequency(ULF) is the ITU designation for thefrequencyrange

of electromagnetic waves between 300 hertz and 3 kilohertz. In
magnetosphere science and seismology, alternative definitions are usually
given, including ranges from 1 mHz to 100 Hz, 1 mHz to 1 Hz, 10 mHz to 10
Hz.

Custom analog signal processing

Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing is an archival peer

reviewed journal dedicated to the design and application of analog,
radio frequency (RF), and mixed signal integrated circuits (ICs) as
well as signal processing circuits and systems.

A partial list of topics includes analog and mixed signal interface

circuits and systems; analog and RFIC design; data converters; activeRC, switched-capacitor, and continuous-time integrated filters; mixed
analog/digital VLSI systems; wireless radio transceivers; clock and
data recovery circuits; and high speed optoelectronic circuits and
systems.

NEW FPAA
TECHNOLOGY

THE NEW FPAA TECHNOLOGY

1.

A (FPAA), built in CMOS technology, contains:

. operational

amplifiers

. switches
. banks

of programmable switched capacitors

. filters

for analog signals

2.

The chip is divided into 20 identical, configurable analog blocks (CABs), each composed of an
operational amplifier, five capacitor banks, and switches that can be used to interconnect the cell
components and determine their operation.

3. FPAA technology has four main elements:

. FPAA Software
. Configurable Analog

Modules (CAM)

. FPAA silicon
. Configurable Analog

Blocks (CAB)

Architecture FPAA

AN120E04

The AN120E04 consists of a 2 x 2 matrix of fully configurable

switched capacitor configurable analog blocks (CABs), enmeshed
in a fabric of programmable interconnect resources. These
programmable features are directed by an on-chip SRAM
configuration memory. The four CABs have access to a single
Look-Up Table (LUT) which can be used to implement non linear
functions such as user-defined input-to-output transfer functions,
and arbitrary signal waveform generation.

Analog input signals come in from the outside world via the four
input cells. The fourth input cell of the AN120E04 has a special
`multiplexing' feature which allows the connection of up to four
unique signal sources. An input cell can accept either a singleended signal or a differential signal pair. The input cells each
have built-in programmable anti-aliasing filters, as well as a high
gain amplifier which has an optional chopper stabilized operating
mode designed for use with signals requiring significant gain and
hence ultra low input offset voltages.
