HPV y Cncer
Prcticamente todas las neoplasias de cuello uterino son
causados por HPV
Alrededor del 40% de los canceres de vulva estn asociados
a HPV
Alrededor del 70% de los cnceres de vagina estn
asociados a HPV
El 40% de los cnceres de pene estn asociados a HPV
El 85% del cncer anal esta asociado a HPV
Datos Epidemiolgicos
Variaciones tnicas
Hombres y mujeres provenientes de Asia y las islas del Pacfico presentaron tasas
menores de cnceres asociados al VPH que los hombres y las mujeres de raza blanca.
Las mujeres de raza negra y las hispanas tuvieron tasas ms elevadas de cncer de
cuello uterino asociado al VPH que las de raza blanca.
Las mujeres de raza negra tambin parecen presentar tasas ms elevadas de cncer de
vagina asociado al VPH.
Los hombres y mujeres de raza negra parecen presentar tasas ms elevadas de cncer
de cavidad oral y orofaringe asociados al VPH.

To calculate HPV type contribution in the setting of infection with 2 HPV types, a hierarchy based on the
pathogenicity of HPV types was used (HPV 16>18>31/45>52/58>33>all others).

historia de enfermedad asociada a HPV demostrada por
