GENERAL OBSERVATIONS
Overall classroom environment is positive. However,

students feel discipline could be improved.

From the student perspective, expectations and rigor

are high enough for most students. This conflicts with

other responses regarding engagement and with
regard to specific teacher actions that demonstrate
the level of rigor or expectation.
Overall, students feel they are learning what they are

supposed to learn in school. At the secondary level,

many students do not feel that what they are learning
is interesting.

GENERAL OBSERVATIONS
Student engagement at the secondary

level needs significant improvement.

The majority of students feel supported by

their teacher. However, many students do

not feel their teacher is concerned about
them as a person.
