Brijmohan Agrawal Ji

On the event of International Literacy Day at Vigyan

Bhawan in New Delhi, Brijmohan Agrawal ji, the
Chhattisgarh School Education Minister received the
award from President Pranab Mukherjee.

Every year on the International Literacy Day, 1 State

from the country, 2 districts at district level and
3 best village panchayats at panchayat level
are honoured for their amazing achievements
in the literacy sector.

Several districts, village panchayats and

development blocks of the State have
received this award. But this is the first
time Chhattisgarh has been chosen in all 3
categories of the award.

The system of night schools with electricity has been

commenced in anganwadi centers, community centers
and schools to spread education. The facilities for
the primary education have been reached
to every place in the State.

Except Dhamtari, Durg, Bemethara,

and Balod, programme of Literate
India has been going on in rest of the
23 districts.

Brijmohan Agrawal ji emphasised the importance

of education in the state. The education is the
only method by which the countrys whole
development is dependent upon.

Education is not all about studying and getting

good marks. As an education minister, he started a
number of activities so as to promote the practical
knowledge in every school.

The marks must not be given important but it

must be treated as a good method through which
the new things which we don't know about can be
learnt and increase the knowledge.

Only an educated person has the ability to differentiate

between right and wrong or good and evil. It is the
foremost responsibility of a society to educate its
citizens and most importantly the children as they are
the future citizens of the country.

He directed the governmental activities for the empowerment

of the women. The focus must be given on the womens
education because the education of a woman in the
family can bring about a positive change in the whole
family and the society itself. It is the uneducated
and illiterate people who think women are
not entitled to education.

A person becomes a complete

man with the education only.
It is the only way as he can gain
knowledge but also can
contribute a lot to the growth
of a nation.

The education system of every state must ensure the

education of every citizen as it will make our
nation an independent one.

Brijmohan Agrawal ji emphasised the education

because it is the only means of overcoming
handicaps, achieving greater equality, and
acquiring wealth and status for all.
