Penelitian

terapan (applied research),


penelitian praktisi (practitioner research),
penelitian partisipatif (participatory research)
atau penelitian interaktif (interactive research)
Penelitian tindakan dikenal sebagai bentuk
aktivitas untuk suatu perubahan yang
berkelanjutan dan berjangka panjang serta
mencakup refleksi dan analisis yang
mendalam mengenai suatu isu/fenomena
sosial/permasalahan tertentu (Levin, 2012)

Apa itu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas?


Penelitian

tindakan bukanlah suatu metode,


melainkan suatu orientasi penelitian yang
menggunakan beragam filosofis, teori, dan
metodologi.
Penelitian tindakan merupakan suatu orientasi
empiris yang mengintegrasikan antara
tindakan dan refleksi (action and reflection)
serta teori dan praktik (theory and practice).

Action research is a form of collective selfreflective enquiry undertaken by participants in
social situations in order to improve the rationality
and justice of their own social or educational
practices, as well as their understanding of these
practices and the situations in which these
practices are carried out The approach is only
action research when it is collaborative, though it
is important to realise that the action research of
the group is achieved through the critically
examined action of individual group members.
(Kemmis & McTaggart, 1988: 5)

It is a social process and focused on the


interrelationship between an individual and
their social environment.
It is fundamentally participatory, where
participants go to work on themselves,
examining
the
relationship

knowledge, identity, agency and practice.

involves groups investigating in relationship
their practices (including their relational
practices). (Kemmis & McTaggart, 2005: 5)

Etika dalam Penelitian Tindakan


Locke, Alcorn & ONeill (2013) mengusulkan delapan
prinsip penelitian tindakan yang beretika sebagai
berikut:
Penelitian tindakan harus menghargai semua yang
terlibat;
Penelitian tindakan harus menjujung tinggi kontribusi
partisipan baik dalam aspek pengetahuan, praktik,
identitas, dan kekurangan yang perlu dilengkapi;
Tujuan, design, pengambilan data dan proses
diseminasi harus diketahui oleh pihak partisipan.
Para partisipan memilik hak untuk mengundurkan diri
dari kegiatan penelitian tindakan. Kebebasan dalam
keterlibatan menjadi prioritas utama disini.

Etika dalam Penelitian Tindakan


Komunikasi

yang berkaitan dengan informasi mengenai


penelitian tindakan harus disajikan dengan jelas
dengan bahasa yang lugas
Harus ada kesepakatan mengenai apakah tindakan
yang diterap sesuai dengan prinsip etika
Semua aspek penelitian tindakan harus bersifat
transparan dan mengikuti prinsip refleksi diri yang kritis
Prinsip saling menghargai dalam proses penelitian
tindakan harus dipertahankan.
