SUCCESSION PLANNING

Absract

Purpose

This study is aimed at exploring the benefits of


using the software RPGTalentone , a software to
manage the human resource activities at
Harrisons Malayalam Limited. The study focus on
various modules in the software and so analyze
the impact to the organization through the
implementation .Succession planning is also a
part of study where each process in
RPGTalentone for succession planning is critically
analyzed .

INTRODUCTION

Human Resources (HR) doesnt just exist to keep the paychecks moving
HR can play a valuable, strategic role in any office. Organizations
recruit and retain talented individuals to stay ahead of the competition,
and they need competent and communicative HR professionals to do
so.
Time- and resource-consuming manual processes can no longer support
HR departmentsor the organizations that depend on them for talent.
Manual HR processes increase chances for data errors, employee
dissatisfaction and non-compliance. Manually processing payroll,
employee records and tax forms takes time away from the more
strategic goals of talent recruitment and employee engagement.
On the other hand, an automated, digital HR system reduces the
administrative burden on HR employees and increases organizationwide self-sufficiency through instant access to information. Lets explore
the ways automation helps HR build a high-functioning infrastructure
that employees, job applicants and executives can appreciate.

What Is HR Automation?

Human Resources, along with many other


departments, depends on document-driven
processes to get work done. For example,
employment contracts must be read and signed by
new employees during the onboarding process. In a
paper-based office, this process requires someone
to make sure the contract is accurately prepared,
printed, signed by the employee, received by HR
and properly filed. Although the employee contract
is an essential part of onboarding a new employee,
spending hours of valuable time to complete this
process on paper is not.

The automation of HR in HML is being


done with the sofware called Success
Factors, which is a SAP HCM product.
SAP HCM is one of the major modules in
SAP that plays an important role in
building an organized management in
enterprises. SAP HCM consultants are
some of the most demanded
professionals in the global market.
HMLs Success Factor software is called as
RPG Talentone.

What is succession planning

Succession planning systems identify,


prepare, and track high potential
employees for promotion and
advancement. Succession Planning
identifies necessary competencies and
works to assess, develop, and retain a
talent pool of employees in order to
ensure a continuity of leadership for all
critical positions

Objective to the study

To analyze the roles and functions of RPGTalentone to


the organization
To know how the succession planning take place using

To compare the usual HR management and automated

Company Processes and Cycles section allows


administrators to manage process setting like process
template settings, approval route maps settings
etc.The manage Employees section is the control
panel for employee records. Adding modifiying and
inactivating user managing users login credential fall
under this section.Tool search in the module helps in
finding the exact admin tool instead of navigating
thrugh nested admin applications. The my favorite
lists frequently performed admin tasks.News and
updates section is a useful resource to understand
the upcoming updates of successfactors.

Methodology
A Quantitative approach is done for the study. A questionnaire
was prepared and samples from the employees as well as the
a information's through direct interview was also collected for
the analysis and interpretation.
