Established in Delhi, SPARSH YOG INDIA (SYI) came into existence on 19 February 2008.

SYI is an earnest endeavor of like-minded people dedicated to create a stress free society.

SYI addresses issues, which it finds most urgent and takes it up as its
Project.
Currently two of its projects are successfully underway, both addressing
issues - critical and important.

SRI SRI SPARSH

Tree Plantation Project

SYI flagged off this project on 23 March 2008 by

planting 208 saplings of Ashok, Amla,
Pomegranate (Anar), Neem and Lime.

SYI has also tied up with other NGO’s for large-

scale plantation drives and looks forward to
more such association with like-minded
organizations.

Till date in both Delhi and NCR, a total of 19,555

saplings have been planted. The survival rate
being almost 100%. This is a continuous project
and is the organizations small effort to tackle the
effects of global warming.

JYOTI SPARSH
Street Children Project
SYI launched its Jyoti Sparsh
-Street Children Project on 3rd
April 2008 with 50 Children in a
park near its registered office in
Delhi
Children of rickshaw pullers and
maids who work in that area were
left roaming around on the road,
near the dustbins and in the
parks throughout the day.
The main objective of SYI to start
this project was to take these
children off the road, to educate
them and to bring about a change
in their lives as far as possible.

Three months down the line all the

children show remarkable change in
their habits. The once dirty children now
come to SYI’s make shift school and
eager to learn.
Infact the not-so-fortunate parents of
these children readily came forward to
understand and participate in SYI’s
Street Children Project
Two of our children have been admitted
in a government school this academic
year after learning the basics from us.
It is gratifying to note that SYI’s singular
effort brought awareness amongst it’s
neighbors who extended their support in
cash and kind.
