Buteveryonewhohearsthesewordsofmineanddoesnotputtheminto
practiceislikeafoolishmanwhobuilthishouseonsand.
Theraincamedown,thestreamsrose,andthewindsblewandbeatagainst
thathouse,anditfelwithagreatcrash."
WhenJesushadfinishedsayingthesethings,thecrowdswereamazedathis
teaching,becausehetaughtasonewhohadauthority,andnotastheir
teachersofthelaw.

1. Mathew 10: 10-13
Take no bag for the journey, or extra tunic, or sandals or a
staff; for the worker is worth his keep.
"Whatever town or village you enter, search for some
worthy person there and stay at his house until you leave. As
you enter the home, give it your greeting. If the home is
deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace
return to you.

1. Mathew 7: 24-29
After Jesus had finished instructing his twelve disciples, he went on
from there to teach and preach in the towns of Galilee. When John
heard in prison what Christ was doing, he sent his disciples to ask him,
"Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect someone
else? Jesus replied, "Go back and report to John what you hear and
see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are
cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and
the good news is
preached to the poor. Blessed is the man who does not fall away on
account of me."

At that time Jesus said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and
earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned,
and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good
pleasure.
"All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the
Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and
those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. "Come to me, all you who
are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you
and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find
rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels,
and then he will reward each person according to what he has done.
I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death
before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.
Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, at the renewal of all things, when
the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also
sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who
has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields
for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.
But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.

1. Mathew 6: 5-15
"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray
standing in
the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have
received their reward in full.
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is
unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you
pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their
many words. o not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
"This, then, is how you should pray: "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be
your
name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us
today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we
also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For if you forgive
men when they sin against
you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do
not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

1. Mathew 5: 38-48; 10:29-31;
"You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth. But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to
him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two
miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, hat you
may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing
more than others? Do not even pagans do that?
Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all
numbered.
So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
