SWP description
EC : Equipement Controller
OC_R : ODU Controller (V1 ODU)
FJGRP : RPS FPGA
FGGAEE and FGAAX : Gaa FPGA, for EPS switch
FMEDU : Medusa FPGA, for standard data plug-in
JGIDU : FPGA to improve Mux/demux ASIC performances (Pegaso2 ASIC) and
to mux/demux both frame
FJD20 : JGIDU FPGA, 2.0 mode, for 2E1 to 16E1 configuration
FJD21 : JGIDU FPGA, 2.1 mode, for 32E1 capacity configuration

SW Download : CT-K registration
CT-K Usage
SWP download
It is advised, and even strongly advised, to perform SW Download via the Eth/OS
interface.

Address of the PC LAN card
Port 15000
Note : Using "System Default", make sure the ip address is not another one (this is the case if other managers are registered into NE)
Bug : Using "System Default", on some PC, "invalid ip address" message is shown
Bug : if a wrong ip address has been setup a "reset NE" is required before setting up the correct one.

ODU download
ODU has two banks as well, were the appropriate ODU Controllers are stored.
Equipement Controller constantly checks that the banks status are aligned (same OC, in the same status).

PC to Flash card software download starts by loading the ODU controller in the flash card : once this task is
completed (20 to 25% of the progression), and as the remaining items of SWP are loaded into the flash card, the EC
starts to load the new OC in the ODU (first case). The equipement controller is very busy, receiving files from PC,
and sending other ones to ODU.

CT-K Usage
Firmware download
Most of the FPGAs of the equipement can be downloaded in the flash card
The new FPGA has its version actuated after the activation of the relevant SWP
Some FPGAs are really HW dependant (like IDU-ODU interface FPGA which depends on cable interface components).
Therefore it has been decided not to have this capability for these ones.
When a new SWP component is not known from the init EC, even if present in the SWP descriptor, it will not be
loaded in the Flash Card. The introduction of a new component requires :
A first software download and activation
The new EC is then aware that the SWP includes the new component
A second software download with "force" option
Activation ("forced")

Frequency Configuration
First config via TCO
After a first config via TCO, the Equipement view does not show the correct shifter value
which has to be set up a second time.

Commissionning
Read RSL with Remote Tx Mute
Remote Tx mute during RSL reading is usefull to check the presence of a permanent interferer.
Commissionning
Remark on Remote Tx Mute, remarks on RSL
Tx Remote Mute
/!\ Tx Remote Mute is a unidirectional control, done without aknowledgement from local
terminal. The specific communication channel that is used is down after a reset of one
of the terminal, and may be down after a fadding. It is advised to have someone in the
remote station, or to be very carefull with this function.
RSL
Time to recover remote RSL after reset
It takes up to 7 minutes (worst case) to recover the specific communication channel
between local and remote terminal. This channel is used for remote RSL, Tx remote
mute, and FE loopback. It is separated from the NMS-RF channel.
RSL reaction time
In case of quick and short fadding (less than 6s), the RSL history does not show the gap.
This is due to the activity of the Equipement Controller and priority level granted to
Power measurement.

ATPC
Set first ATPC Range, then ATPC Rx threshold and then enable ATPC.
Commissionning
Remarks on ATPC
The ATPC algorithm takes some time to be established after a configuration change. It is
advised to turn off ATPC before configuration changing.
An ATPC loop alarm may be raised at the beginning of IDU-ODU download, for 10s. It is
advised to disable ATPC before doing software update operations.

Line Interface
Be careful to check that the E1s that will carry traffic are properly declared ("unframed"
or "framed" mode).
/!\ In "Disable" mode traffic will go throught but
- no alarm will be raised;
- loop commands will be accepted by JUSM, but will not be performed.
