 Job-related deaths and injuries of all types extract a high
toll not only in terms of human misery, but also in economic loss.
The significant financial costs are often passed along to the
consumer in the form of higher prices. Thus, job-related deaths
and injuries affect everyone, directly or indirectly. Safety risks
can be significant for employers.

STRESS
 Workplace stress is the harmful physical and emotional response
that occurs when there is a poor match between job demands and the
capabilities, resources, or needs of the worker

 There are four Main physiological reactions to stress:


• Blood is shunted to the brain and large muscle groups, and away from
extremities, skin, and organs that are not currently serving the
body.

• An area near the brain system, known as the reticular activating


system, goes to work, causing a state of keen alertness as well as
sharpening of hearing and vision.

• Energy-providing compounds of glucose and fatty acids are released


into the bloodstream.

• The immune and digestive systems are temporarily shut down.


Managing stress

• Know when to pull back
• Put the stressful situation into
perspective
• Find someone who will listen
• Establish some structure to your life
• Recognize your own limitations
• Be tolerant
• Pursue outside diversions
• Avoid artificial control

OBJECTIVES
 Our objectives of doing this research are-

• Find out that how organization value health and


safety measures.

• As health and safety play an important role in job


satisfaction.

• If employees are provided with healthy and safe


environment there efficiency increases as well as
they feel less stressful, job security and safety is
there.

METHODOLOGY
• We have done primary research.

• In primary research we have used questionnaire to know


how safety and health is important at workplace.

• SAMPLING METHODOLOGY
– Sampling Unit: institutional faculty.
– Sampling Technique: random sampling.
– Sampling Area: Greater Noida.
– Sample Size: 10

• We have taken so small sample size due to less time.

KEY POINTS OF FINDING….

• All the faculties feel that safety and health is important at


workplace.

• Almost faculties feel that they are sometimes stressed by their


work.

• According to the survey, the level of stress is not unacceptable


or causing harm to them.

• Responses favoring that the faculties have enough resources


and support to their job.

• Some faculties want to improvise the safe and healthy in their


organization. They want health insurance, etc.

SUGGESTIONS
• Availability of fire extinguisher at each floor of the institute.

• Classes should be schedule systematically.


• One day off should be provided (except Sunday).


• Medical aid facility.


• Transportation facility should be available at the time of


unforeseen contingencies.

• Yoga and meditation should be there to maintain stress free


environment.
