AND EGG SHELLS AS NATURAL

FERTILIZER FOR PLANTS OF CHILI

BACKGROUND
Unwitting, junk that is said to be the waste gradually will
accumulate more and more and will continue to grow when
there is no way an effective countermeasure.So if this
waste more and more, it becomes a serious problem that
will be faced, namely lead pollution in soil, water and air.
Waste can be divided into two, organic and inorganic waste.
Whereas, in the field of agriculture, growers more use of
inorganic fertilizers, pesticides and other inorganic material.
So that leaves a residue on the ground, which resulted in
the contamination on the ground. For it takes concrete
steps in order to maintain environmental sustainability and
reduce reliance on the use of chemical fertilizers. One of
them is by processing organic waste into compost.

Procedures
1. First, wash the banana peels until clean.
2. Next, cut it into small pieces with knife.
3. After it, dry it under sunlight around 2 weeks until the
peels become dried.
4. Then, put the banana peels into polybag which contain
chili Sow it until spread evenly.
5. Compare the plant growth between this fertilizer with
fertilizer of egg shells.

Procedures
1. First, put all egg shells into container.
2. After it, dry the egg shells under sunlight until dried.
3. Next, mash the egg shells with stone until wrecked like powder.
4. Then, put the powder into polybag which contain chili. Sow it
until spread evenly.
5. Compare the plant growth between this fertilizer with fertilizer
of banana peels.

INTERPRETATION
Egg shells better than banana peels
because:
Egg shells has rich in protein.
Egg shells has average growth of 1.5
cm, making the plants that use egg
shells grow faster than plants that
use banana peels.

CONCLUSION AND
SUGGESTION
Conclusion

The egg shells and banana peels can be used as a natural

fertilizer because egg shells and banana peels contain protein
and potassium that are useful to the ground.
Egg shells better than banana skin because it has on average
a better growth compared with banana peels. It caused by a
lot of protein content.

Suggestion
Reader can replace the main ingredient for making fertilizer
in order to reduce synthetic ingredients that are often found
in fertilizer.
Readers are advised to conduct research on advanced
materials that are able to improve the quality of crops
