Unit 1- Two port network theory

To inculcate understanding of the basics required for
circuit representation of RF networks.
This unit consists of lot of mathematical conversions and
problems in RF Parameters and MW Parameters.
Tutorials on S-Parameters and HF-Parameters has
planned.
Black board teaching alone.
Z, Y, h, ABCD and S Parameters are the key areas.

Unit 2- RF Amplifiers and Matching Networks

To deal with the issues in the design of microwave
amplifier.
This unit consists of lot of mathematical derivations,
problems and theory.
For Broadband, High power and Multi stage amplifiers,
the video by Professor from MIT, USA is planned.
Assignment on Matching networks planned.
Tutorial on Amplifier design and Frequency response has
been planned.

Unit 3- Passive and Active Microwave Devices

To instill knowledge on the properties of various
microwave components.
This unit consists of huge theory. The knowledge about
35 Microwave components are discussed here.
NPTEL Video on Microwave Components and own PPT
is planned. (PPT is yet to prepare)
After completion of formal teaching, the students were
given on-the spot seminars. This practice will be useful
to revise huge theory contents with in a short duration.

Unit 4- Microwave Generation

To study the various MW generation techniques
This unit also has huge theory along with lot of
mathematical derivations and problems.
Tutorials on klystron, reflex klystron and magnetron has
been planned.
Black board teaching along with self prepared PPT will
be used.
Field amplifiers and Oscillators will be given for
assignment.

Unit 5- Microwave Measurements

To study the various MW Measurement techniques
All the topics under this unit were the Laboratory
Experiments of Optical and MW Laboratory Course.
So after the theoretical information and mathematical
calculations, the measurement techniques will be
thought in the laboratories in real-time with hands on
training.
Assignments will be given in the form of real time
experiments. The Parameters will be given and the
students were asked to design and plot the results.
