HISTORY OF E TWINNING

The e Twinning action was launched in


January
2005 e Twinning has been firmly integrated in
Erasmus, the Europeon programme for
education, training, youth and sport.
In the first year more than 13000 schools
were involved in e Twinning action
Now, the e Twinning programme has nearly
230277 members and 5462 projects

The participating European countries in the e


Twinning action are:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech
Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France,
Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia,
Lithuania, Luxumburg, Malta, Poland, Portugal,
Romania, Slovakia, Solvenia, Spain, Sweden, the
Netherlands and the U.K

E-TWINNING MEANS FOR INDUSTRIAL

E-Twinning promotes school collaboration and


school networking
It promotes the project sharing by using
Information and communication technologies
(ICT)
E-Twinning provides advice, ideas and tools to
make the partnerships of schools especially for
projects
The central support service provides the helpdesk
for teachers, publishes information material on eTwinning
It helps to the teachers to share about the
resources, discussions about academic thinks and
to find the teachers in other countries.
