Understanding the Significance of

Christ·s Work as HIGH PRIEST is a
Vital Key to Experiencing GOD·s
Overflowing Blessings
Heb 8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken
this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who
is set on the right hand of the throne of the
Majesty in the heavens;

Heb 8:2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the

true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not
man.
Heb 8:3 For every high priest is ordained to offer
gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity
that this man have somewhat also to offer.
Heb 8:4 For if he were on earth, he should not be
a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer
gifts according to the law:

Heb 8:5 Who serve unto the example and

shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was
admonished of God when he was about to make
the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make
all things according to the pattern shewed to
thee in the mount.
Heb 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more
excellent ministry, by how much also he is the
mediator of a better covenant, which was
established upon better promises.

Heb 8:7 For if that first covenant had been

faultless, then should no place have been sought
for the second.

Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith,

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I
will make a new covenant with the house of
Israel and with the house of Judah:
Heb 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I
made with their fathers in the day when I took
them by the hand to lead them out of the land
of Egypt; because they continued not in my
covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the
Lord.

Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will

make with the house of Israel after those days,
saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind,
and write them in their hearts: and I will be to
them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

The Writer here is making a summary of what he

had previously discussed about the High
Priesthood of the Lord Jesus Christ according to
the Order of the PRIEST-KING of SALEM,
Melchizedek and not of Levi¬

Ú means both Peace and also

Righteousness (complete, safe, peaceful,
perfect, whole, full, at peace)

We
have a High Priest! (v. 1)

MAN in his own condition CAN NEVER STAND BEFORE

GOD because of SIN that crept into Man's DNA..

ALL of Man's "Righteousness" is Unlcean ("tame"

foul) and Filthy Rag ("ed beged"- soiled menstrual
cloth) before God (Isaiah 64:6)

WE CANNOT COME BEFORE GOD ON

OUR OWN MERIT!
Heb 8:1 ¬ We have such an high priest, who is
set..

We have a High Priest who is SET

("Õ " - seat down, appointed) by
GOD the Father Himself!

Ps. 110:4 ..The LORD hath sworn, and will

not repent, Thou art a priest for ever
after the order of Melchizedek
Heb 8:1¬We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand
of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
Heb 8:2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle,

Jesus as High Priest is a Minister of the Sanctuary, the

Minister ("V " public servant, benefactor of
man)
Heb 8:3 For every high priest is ordained to
offer gifts and sacrifices..

Heb 5:1 For every high priest taken from

among men is ordained for men in things
pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts
and sacrifices for sins:

JESUS offered the Perfect Sacrifice for our Sins!

His Precious Holy Blood!
He is the Lamb of GOD! (Jn. 1:29)
Heb 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more

The NEW COVENANT is a Better

Covenant established upon Better
Promises!
Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with
the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I
will put my laws into their mind, and write them in
their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall
be to me a people:

It will be a Covenant of WHAT GOD CAN

& WILL DO to MAN instead of What Man
Struggles to Do for God!
It will be a Covenant Where GOD
manifest His Amazing Grace and the
PEOPLE will Experience God·s Blessings as
God·s Own People¬
