Feedback from the Marine

Engineering, Aerospace
Technology and the
Floristry students :
100% of students liked this
mode of learning
Only 3 students out of more
than 300+ students feel
motion sickness but they
feedback that they still liked
this way of learning
They feel that they did not
have sufficient time for the
3D VR application
They wanted more courses
to have this mode of
learning
They find learning fun,
interactive and interesting
There is better
understanding in terms of
why things happen
They find it realistic and safe
environment in learning
They like the combination of
play and learn

3D-AR of a Gas Turbine Engine

3D Augmented Reality used in

our training
AR used in the learning of the
air combustion of the oxygen
system in the air planes.

The engine becomes

Alive on the mobile
device.

AR in Engine Systems
3D
AR systems developed to help
Maintenance

students visualize details of complex

systems as well as operations of
equipment through simulation.
More than 300 students from the
Aerospace course used 3D AR in their
lesson on Engine Systems Maintenance.
Controlled study found those who learnt
through AR did better in their quiz results,
especially on taxonomy levels 2 & 3,
compared to Control Gp without 3D AR
Results also showed that the students
gained in knowledge and better retention
