Background Information:
New line cinema is an American film studio (founded in 1967 by
Robert Shaye). It became subsidiary to Warner Bros. in 2008.
Distribution:
New line cinema distributes across the world to, Canada, the
UK, Australia and Zealand. In comparison to other independent
companies, New line cinema grew and prospered to become
one of Hollywoods major films studios, peak in the hit, The
lord of the rings film trilogy that brought commercial success
to the studio.

demographic as they will have an understanding
and awareness to that certain genre, due to
previous work from the company. This independent
company is subsidiary to Warner Bros. therefore
their parent company will be able to support them
finically- producing high budget films as both
independent and parent company has gained
success from previous films. However as the new
line cinema is not a mainstream and as well-known
as other companies (such as Paramount pictures)

due to being best known for distributing the two
highest-grossing films of all time, Titanic and
Avatar. By the demographic having this
knowledge they will expect a high grossing film,
which will boost my target audience from a niche
to a mass.

This production company shouldnt distribute my
company as it wouldnt benefit my film due to
the genre. The top three films are, sci-fi high
fantasy.

that I wont be reaching the full audience I could,

that my production will be expected and
loved by their audience.

cinema and warner bros.) that I can choose,
looking at the total money they make, Warner
bros. is a better company with their top
movie, The Dark Knight brought them

movie of all time gained them, $377,027,325.
On the other hand, New line cinema is more
known for their dramatic thriller.

company, by releasing production shortly
after the success of a fellow thriller, will
give the audience expectations of a new
