IT?

CRC says, children must be


assured of the following rights:
Protection Rights cover those rights which guard

children against all forms of abuses, exploitation and


discrimination in areas where a child is considered to be in
extremely difficult circumstances

Participation Rights pertain to the right of freedom


to expression and to have ones views taken into account
involvement in decision making and consultative process
freedom of association and assembly.

Survival Rights the inherent right to life, the


right to a name and nationality, the right to identity
and those dealing with parental and governmental
duties and obligations, adequate and decent
standard of living, access to basic health care and
services, social security and rehabilitation.

Developmental Rights refer to access to


educational opportunities, relevant information,
play, leisure cultural activities and rights to freedom
of thought, conscience and religion

The right to obtain a good and develop his potential
The right to be protected against abuses, exploitation,
neglect, violence and danger.
The right to live in a peaceful community and a
wholesome environment.
The right to be defended and given assistance by the
government.
The right to be able to express his own views.

The right to be born, to have a name and nationality


The right to have a family who will love and care for
him.
The right to have adequate food and a healthy and
active body.
The right to be given opportunities for play and
leisure.

The right to have freedom to join association and


peaceful assemblies.
The right to develop his potentials.
The right to learn good manners and right conduct.
The right to be provided with good and wholesome
educational materials.
The right to be given care, support, education and
guidance.
