INTRODUCTION:

STUDENT
A person who is studying at a
school or college.
ETHICS
moral principles that govern a
persons behaviour or the conducting of an
activity
So the ethics of student means conduct &
behaviour of a student towards his/her
teachers, other students & other staff
members of the school.

STUDENTS CODE OF ETHICS

REPRESENTATION:

Every student is expected to represent him or herself


honestly and respectfully in all situations. Honest and
respectful representation includes providing only truthful
material information on all applications and any other official
document. Students are also expected to behave
respectfully to all administrators, faculty, staff, students, and
visitors.

ACADEMIC HONESTY:

Students are expected to maintain the highest standards of


academic integrity. Academic dishonesty includes lying,
cheating, stealing, and using unauthorized materials on any
assignment, quiz or exam.
The act of lying is to intentionally provide false information
or a false statement with the purpose of misleading or with
irresponsible regard of the truth. Lying, in both academic and
non-academic activities, is impermissible.

Cheating is acting dishonestly in order to gain an unfair


advantage. Cheating includes giving or receiving
unauthorized aid on any assignment, quiz, or exam. Cheating
also includes using the same material of work previously
used for another course unless the student has permission
from the instructor to do so. Cheating furthermore includes
plagiarism, which is when a student uses the ideas of
another and declares it as his or her own. Students are
required to properly cite the original source of the ideas and
information used in his or her work.
Stealing is the act of taking without permission and without
intention to return. The prohibition of stealing includes
property of any nature as well as academic work.

RESPECT FOR RULES & REGULATIONS:

Students are expected to adhere to the rules and regulations.


Student should not participate in any political activities.
Students should not give any harm to the property of
institution.

Behaviour in classroom

Behaviour In Class
Late arrival, use of mobile phones and general behaviour in classes

Students are expected to make every effort to get


to classes on time.
Stay for the entire class period because random
arrivals and exits are disrespectful and distracting.
On entering the class, late students must avoid
disturbing those already there. They should take
the most easily accessible seat.
Students who need to leave during a session,
either temporarily or permanently, should do so
without disturbing the rest of the class. They
should raise their hand and state that they need
to leave before getting up. On returning, they
should wait for an appropriate moment to re-join
the class, avoiding disturbing others.

In classes, all students must attend to the work of


the class at all times. Mobile phones or other
electronic devices must not be used unless
authorized by staff. Mobile phones must be on silent
mode or turned off.
Talking between students is not permitted during
lectures and tutorials unless specifically authorized.
Students are responsible for what transpired if
they miss a class. It is the students responsibility to
contact a classmate to determine what was missed.
At the end of a session, students should deposit
rubbish in a waste bin and not leave it scattered
over the desk, tables or floor. Be polite and
respectful towards others, instructor and other
students.

All students within the School are expected to behave in


a manner that does not disrupt the working
environment of their fellow students or staff.
Conduct in LIBRARY:
Students should not make noise in library.
Sit quietly, do your work and do not disturb the other
students.
Do not eat or drink in library.
library books are a public property, take care of them,
do not tore it into pieces.
Do not take any book with you without the permission of
librarian.
Return the issued book on time in its original condition.

Conduct in Practical Classes:

Again, students must not engage in any activities which might


impinge on the ability of others to benefit from the learning
experience provided.
Food and drink must not be brought into the laboratories.
Handle the lab equipments and chemicals very carefully and do not
waste these.
Never play with chemicals. It can be dangerous.
Do your work very carefully with appropriate equipments

Conduct on Field Work:


Students are expected to behave in a reasonable and
responsible manner whilst on field courses such that they do not
cause any disruption to other students, staff or the general public

Conduct in Cafeteria:

Respect everyone.
Behave well, make queue.
Be patient, do not push or pull anyone.
Do not forget the eating and drinking manners.
Always throw the rappers in dustbin.

BEHAVIOUR WITH TEACHERS

Behaviour with Teachers

Teachers are the best guardian after parents. Student


should have due respect for his teachers.
Students should obey his teachers.
should also havebeliefand trust on teachers.
When teachers teach in the class the students should be
attentive and silent.
The lecture of the teacher should be listened carefully. It is
because what ever teacher speaks in the class is a
learning for a students.
The students should also be interactive in the class. He
should also ask question regarding the subject of lecture
When someone asks his teacher a question, he (disciple)
should not answer it before the teacher.
When the teacher rejects something, he should not insist.
Student should not speak or consult with others in the
presence of his teacher.

He should warmly greet his teacher.

Student should not disturb while the teacher is talking.
Student should listen the teacher with full attention.
Should never lie to the teacher.
Student should do the work given by teacher in time.
Never try to cheat your teacher.
Never try to teach your teachers.

BEHAVIOUR WITH FELLOWS

Student should respect their fellows.


Always try to help others.
Never discourage any of your fellows.
Never cheat your fellows.
If your fellows acquire your help, never misguide them.
Be loyal to them.
Student should never try to hurt anyone, take care of
emotions of your fellows.
While working in a group, consider each and every
individual.
Never make fun of your fellows weak points rather help
them to overcome their weaknesses.
It is unethical to destroy anyone creation or work, just due
to jealousy.
Every one is equal and have the right to speak, never
discourage anyone to speak .

Never pass comments on your fellows while they are


talking.
If anyone is giving presentation, do not disturb them,
listen them carefully.
Always appreciate good work from your fellows.
Be cooperative.
Always encourage your fellows to study.
If any of your fellows is having any bad habit, help him to
overcome that.
Always encourage your fellows to adopt good habits.
