History of Nanjido
Due to frequent flood, the government decided to build an embankment
around the edge of Nanjido
Since Nanjidos location was desirable for a landfill because of its convenient
access to traffic, it was selected as a landfill of Seouls refuse
Due to the result of rapid urbanization and industrialization Nanjido was soon
filled with the leftovers of development and material prosperity of Seoul
