Introduction

The report consists of the application of the Combination Job Analysis


Method. This is a Hybrid method of doing Job analysis.

Firstly we chose the job of security guard, then made the task
statements of the job. Next we rated the task statements seeing which
of them are of more value. Then our next step was to find the KSAOs
and we chose the Knowledge, skills and abilities of the job.

Then we made criteria and then made results in the end.

Job Analysis
We have chosen the job of security guard whose work is to :
Guard, patrol, or monitor premises to prevent theft,
violence, or infractions of rules.

May operate x-ray and metal detector equipment. So the


guards job is tough and consists of various tasks and duties. The
job of security guard is very important as he keeps the people
safe.

Task Statements

The task statement basically provides a standardized, concise format to


describe worker actions. The task statements for the security guards posts
are below:

Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and


other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.

Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or


property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual
occurrences.

Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or


presence of unauthorized persons.

Escort or drive motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or


to provide personal protection.

Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of


prohibited articles into restricted areas.

The C-JAM method is basically used for two main purposes:


Selection & Training
The ratings on the scale indicate that whether the selected KSAO is used
for selection or training purpose along with how it will be used for those
applications.
