Business problem: The university wanted to extend the Seton Hall experience
to prospective students and to reach students at the place where they already
spend their time on social media sites
Solution: Used integrated marketing optimization solutions from IBM to
understand how students move through the recruitment process and to provide
visibility into social media channels
People running academic programs are busy. They dont want to know about
jargon like bounce rates. What they do focus on is the risk of failure [to make the
numbers]. Our message is how to help them avoid that.

Business problem: The Marist College education delivery system was not
ready to address the increasing demand for access to resources triggered by
the university international expansion and the new business analytics
academics and research programs.
Solution: Implement a Multi-purpose cloud environment to supports its
Enterprise Computing Research Laboratory in addition to several critical
business and education-related functions such as admissions, registration,
accounting and enterprise resource planning (ERP), as well as websites,
educational services and marketing.
I was amazed by how much our staff was able to do in this cloud environment
at such a low operating cost.
