Introduction
The egg is one of natures most incredible self-contained
life capsules. It contains all of the balanced nutrients and,
if fertilized, all of the genetic material for the creation of
a new life.
Egg is placed in a Incubation chamber ,which has
artificial environmental conditions .Maintaining
temperature, pressure and humidity.

engineering,PESITM Shivamogga

Problems
Probability of hatching all the eggs is less.
Maintaining of three different positions of egg in a axis
for a day.
Maintenance of chicks after hatching requires different
environment conditions.
No parental care for chicks after hatching.

Literature Survey

Prior to Oviposition : Cell division starts.

Between Oviposition and Incubation: A period of dormanancy.

1st day of Incubation:A resemblance to chick embryo.

2nd day : Heart begins to beat and ear differentiation occurs.

3rd day : Nose, legs, wings as well as blood circulation can be seen.

4th day : Tongue begins to form.

5th day : Formation of reproductive organs and sex differentiation.

7th day : Break formation starts.

14th day : Orientation of the embryo for hatching with head towards the
large end of the egg.

19th day : Yolk sac begins to enter the body cavity .

21st day : The egg tooth breaks and penetrates the egg shell.

It has 28 pins, it consists of 14 digital I/O pins where in 6 pins

are used as PWM outputs and 6 analog inputs.

A USB connection ,power jack ,a 16MHz crystal oscillator ,a

reset button and an ICSP header.

It can operate with an external supply of 7-12V by giving

voltage reference through the IO ref pin or through the pin Vin
.

Some of the pins have special functions like pins 0 & 1, which
acts as a Tx & Rx .

The ATmega 328P microcontroller has 32KB of flash memory ,

2KB of SRAM ,1KB of EPROM and operates with a 16MHz clock
speed.

Client

Information access

The sensed information from computer is stored in cloud.

The stored information can be accessed by the client at any time

using HTTP protocol.

HTTP(Hypertext Transfer Protocol) is a communication protocol

allows clients and servers to communicate

1.

Server Listens.

2.

Client connects.

3.

Sever accepts and receives request.

4.

Server can continue to accept other requests.

5.

Server writes response of request.

6.

Server finally ends the request.

engineering,PESITM Shivamogga

Obtaining fertile egg.

Until it is incubated it must be stored in between 4070*C.
Incubation chamber consists of sensors ,cooling fan,
bulb ,turner and
I/O valve.
Sensors are connected to Arduino kit which is
interfaced to computer using Arduino software.
Pressure can be controlled using I/O valve.
The sensed information is stored in server and client
can access the information at particular interval or at
any required time.

Advantages
With artificial incubation , we can hatch eggs whenever
we want , we dont have to wait for hen to go broody.
If you get big enough incubator , we can hatch out as
many as eggs we can.
Here the remote client can continuously monitor the
current status of the incubator.

Applications :
The above project can be used to preserve the
endangered species.
The major application for this project is used in poultry
farming.
