Abstract
This study was conducted in order to determine
the feasibility of using cigarette filter in producing
good quality glue. In order to have the product,
cigarette filter was taken from cigarette butts.
Cigarette filter glue with different ratios of
cigarette filters to acetone was prepared. There
are three variables in used: the controlled
variable, manipulated variable and responding
variables.
Introduction
Global warming has come and it is becoming the
biggest problem of our society. We dont realize it
but waste has a lot to do with the change in our
climate. And more trash means more greenhouse
gases in the atmosphere.
According
to
the
research
of
Ocean
Conservancy, the percentage of cigarette butts and
cigarette filters in the total percentage of debris
found in most oceans and seas is 32%.

Conclusion
Based on the aforementioned findings, the following
conclusions were drawn:
Trial 2 exhibits the best properties to possess the
stickiness of a glue from cigarette filter which is a
potential that could be used as a substitute for
commercial glue.
It was found out that the glue from cigarette filter
has lesser stickiness property than commercial glue.
However, the glue from cigarette filter was able to
meet the standard properties of a commercial glue.
It was concluded that the use of used cigarette filter
as a substitute of commercial
glue for paper is feasible.
