FACTS OF THE CASE


- On or about 8:50 AM of

October 15, 2012 telephone


call was received from Itogon
MPS, requesting for SOCO
assistance regarding a found
dead body at #8 Uranus Street,
Alpa Ville Subdivision, Tuding,
Itogon, Benguet.
- Immediately SOCO Team led
by
PSINSP
ARMANDO
P
HIQUIANA were dispatched.
- At the scene coordination
was made with SPO3 Julius D
Acay investigator on case.

-Information

gathered reveal
that around 7:30
AM of October
15, 2012 the body
was first
discovered by Mr.
Jose Pallay y
Alindayo, 55
years old,
married,
residence of
Yangcaan,
Itogon, Benguet

SOCO Team noted the


following:

- Hacked on the
outside part of the
main door with blood
spatter

- Deformed door
knob that possibly
hit by hard sharp
object

- Droplets of blood from


living room near the main
door going to the kitchen

Colored gray maong pants


was found at the floor on
the living room possibly
want to used by the
perpetrator to wipe out the
blood therein

Chopping
knife on
the
lavatory
at the
kitchen

- The victim found sitting

on the sofa in slanting


position with his feet
stretch straight on the
floor with a tissue paper
wrapped around his left
hand; clad with white
shirt, and maroon stripe
shorts

- Initial Medico-legal findings


conducted by Dr. Oliver
Pacalso Gudana, Municipal
Health Officer of Itogon,
Benguet revealed that the
victim sustain hack wounds on
his neck

- Rough sketch
of the crime
scene using a
floor plan type
of sketch and
triangulation
method of
measurements

- A sign of hesitating or
confusing movement on the
part of the perpetrator as
shown by groupings on the
droplets of blood

EVIDENCE COLLECTED AND DISPOSITION

1. Developed and lifted latent prints


- to be compare to possible suspect as standard.
2. One brown leather wallet with suspected blood stain
- for Serology Examination to determine the presence
of blood.
3. One gray maong pants labeled U2 Denim Works
- for DNA Examination
4. One colored black underwear (brief) labeled as
SUNJOY M
- for DNA Examination to determine weather that
underwear is own by the victim
5. One chopping knife measuring 11 inches from tip to
handle
- for Serology Examination to determine the presence
of blood.

6. One folding knife measuring 7.5 inches from


tip to handle
- for Serology Examination
7. One swab taken from the glass cup
- for DNA Examination
8. One swab blood taken at the floor near the
main entrance
- for DNA Examination
9. One swab blood taken at the floor oozing
underneath on the sofa where the victim was
found
- for DNA Examination to be compare on the
evidence number 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8.

CRIME SCENE THEORY


1. The unidentified perpetrator possibly known by
the victim because of no forcible entry on the
main door and no sign of missing items.
2. Unidentified perpetrator shows sign of remorse,
trying to eliminate the assault and sign of mercy
by:
a. possible carrying the victim and sitting on
the sofa;
b. wrapping wounded hand of the victim with
tissue paper to stop the bleeding;
c. wiping bloodied floor with cloth in spite of
hopelessness of removing all the blood.

RESULTS OF THE
EXAMINATION CONDUCTED

SPECIMEN: One (1) pc gray maong pant


labeled U2 Denim Works marked as
JAA/10/15/12-2recovered on Oct15, 2012.
EXAMINATION CONDUCTED : DNA PROFILING

RESULT: DNA profile obtained from


four(4) different areas on the
specimen is consistent with the DNA
profile obtained from the victim.

SPECIMEN: One (1) kitchen knife with


black handle measuring 29cm long and
9cm width marked as JAA 10/15/12-5
collected on Oct 15, 2012.
EXAMINATION CONDUCTED : DNA
PROFILING
RESULT: NO DNA profile was
generated on the above specimen.

SPECIMEN: Used

on Oct 30, 2012.

SPECIMEN: Stainless steel bolo


oxhead with brown wooden handle
measuring 51 cm long and 6cm
collected on Nov 3, 2012.
EXAMINATION CONDUCTED : DNA
PROFILING
RESULT: NO DNA profile was
generated on the above specimen.

The Aluminum rivets (screw) which serve as the lock of the


wooden handle were detached to extract possible presence of
blood and DNA profile at the unexposed portion at the
