Concept Of Compact Spinning

To arrange the
fibres in parallel
and condensed
position.
Reduction of width
of drafted fibre
strand.
Elimination of
spinning triangle.

Process Of Compacting
Drafted fibre strand is guided
over the suction tube by the
lattice apron.
Compacting result can be
influenced by modifying: Slot design.
Lattice apron type.
Vacuum.
Rotating speed of lattice apron.
Tension draft between
condenser roller and front top
drafting roller supports the
compacting effect.

Suction tube

Contains inclined suction slots.

Favorable while processing short fibres.
Constant negative pressure at the slots.
Design of slot varies with the type & count of
fibre being processed.

Lattice Aprons
Made from woven cloth.
Usually 25 mm wide.
Has mini-perforations.
Operating life depends
on: Fibre material
processed.
Yarn count.
Frequency of washing
cycles.

Condenser Roller housing

Condenser roller
is connected to
front drafting roller
by gear.
Cot shore
hardness: 65o-75o.
Fibres & dust
cannot penetrate
the housing.

Atmospheric Conditions

Air Temperature :- 28 32oc.

Relative Humidity :- 38 45%
Absolute Air humidity :- max. 11g/kg.

Precautions
Compact spinning and conventional ring
spinning machines in the same spinning
room is not advisable.
During Buffing, Grinder axis should be
parallel to cot axis.
Cots with round edges should be used.
Lattice aprons should be accurately
positioned in the recesses of guide rod.

Technological Advantages
Can be retrofitted to all types of ring
spinning machines.
Designed for spinning all types of fibres &
blends.
Suitable for both short staple & worsted
spinning mill.
Spindle speed can be increased.
Optimized and applicable spinning
accessories and components.

Yarn Quality improvements

Yarn diameter is 5%
smaller compared to
conventional yarn.
Maximum strength is
achieved with twist
reduced by 15-20%.
Higher elongation.
Lower Hairiness.
Reduced degree of
singeing.

Comparison In Woven Fabrics

Clear weaving structure with well-defined contours.

High breaking & tearing strength.
Low pilling tendency & better abrasion resistance.
Improved luster & feel of the fabric.

Comparison in Knitted Fabrics

Better Stitch definition & clearer loop

structure.
Reduced wear of needles.
Less waxing required.

Conclusion:If the Spinning Mills desire a high

quality spun yarn and are willing to pay
approximately a 10% higher price for
them, then the Compact Spinning has a
promising future because of higher
production and improved quality of
compact yarns.
