The Solar Water Heater
Giorsol is composed of
three major elements: solar
collector, thermal storage
tank, transfer unit. The Solar
collectors absorb the solar
energy and releases it in the
form of a heat owing
between the collector and the
storage tank. It transfers its
heat to the domestic water
via an exchanger located in
the storage tank. The transfer
unit is the pilot plant.

Manufactured in France by GIORDANO Industries for over 35

years, they have the expertise of Giordano and all of the latest
technology for optimum performance and a aesthetic
appearance. Reliable and efficient, they received technical CSTB.
The Giordano Solar Collectors are adaptable to all configurations,
they are produced in a vertical or a horizontal version. They can
be integrated into the roof through Heliotoiture Giordano or
xed as overlay to the roof. Finally, they can be installed on the
ground or on awnings.

steel or high quality enamel with excellent

provided by a electrical back up resistance

Transfer Unit

A critical center of the installation, it measure

temperatures at various points, regulates and
controls the transfer of the solar energy. In case of
absence of sunlight, it controls the switching of
the back - up. It is equipped with a holiday
function (longer absences) in order to limit the
overheating and a timer for the electrical
components in the high low electricity rates.
Functionally, it has a control panel that allows you
to constantly check the proper functioning of the
installation.

Copper absorber with highly selective coating for optimal yield
(aluminum absorber is optional).
Tempered prismatic, low iron Safety glass 4mm, withstands hail in
accordance with European standards.
Working pressure 8 bar, test pressure 12 in accordance with the
European standards.

HOW ARE WE SPECIAL?

Our new method of laser welding the pipe to the plate gives several
advantages:

The selective surface is not affected at all because the joint is made on the
rear side
Laser welding is done at low temperatures, which reduces the tension of
material between plate and pipe
The absorbers coated surface remains intact and free from marks, that
makes it suitable for clear glass.
The absorber can resist to high temperature stagnation and high corrosion
levels.
Our laser welding process is environmentally friendly because it needs no
additives and does not release any harmful substances into the environment
A protection foil prevents damage to the selective surface coating until the
absorber is assembled with the collector
RADIANT Solar Laser Absorber is an absorber with superior flange efficiency

ORIENTATION OF SOLAR SYSTEM

The thermal performance of the solar

system is optimized when is mounted
facing South (when we are in the
Northern hemisphere).
The actual performance however is
minimal decreased when the system is
oriented less than 45 degrees South
East or South West.
If we increase the surface of the solar
system, by using larger collectors or
adding one more collector, the solar
system can be oriented up to 90
degrees South East or South West, with
minimal or no impact to the annual
thermal performance.
We will exactly do the opposite when we
are at the Southern hemisphere.

Thermosiphonic system is considered
the simplest solar heating system to
generate domestic hot water, reliable
and easy to install. Usually, it is
installed for residential apartments
and limited utilities

TANKS (Storage/Reheater)
Solar tanks are built with the following specifications:
Solar tanks are made of steel E 37 with glass lined enameled/
Stainless steel 316L/Titanium (optional),tank is tested in
accordance with DIN 4753.
High efficiency thermal insulation and low heat loss through
high quality polyurethane hard foam insulation 100mm,density
40 kg/m3, under the jacket of the Calorifier.
Thermal insulation can be removed for simple transport into the
setup area.
Inner shell and heat exchangers are protected against corrosion
with a glass lining coating and magnesium sacrificial anode.
Working pressure is 10 bar, test pressure is 15 bar. Max.
temperature is 95c permanent and 110c temporary.
Three models are available: Storage tank (buffer), Reheater
tank- single coil, and Reheater- double coil.
