In any business firm or other organizations appear some


problems, sometimes they are easy to remove and
sometimes it seems that the solution is not possible.
When problems occurred, run the proper action to
eliminate the problem. However, often it turns out that the
same problem appears again and usually in the most
difficult moments

correction action for the customer.
An excellent way of reporting nonconformances to
suppliers and their corrective actions.

8D methodology despite what is


generally thought has not been
created by Ford but by the U.S.
Department of Defense (DoD) in
1974.The standard, which described
8D was named:

The problem is detected by for example staff /


quality control / customer
Establish the team (from 2 to 10 persons) from
different departments and choose teams leader
Exactly describe the problem in order to
understand what went badly.
Stop the process, for example, introducing 100%
inspection, retest, return from the customer .
Establish the actual cause of the problem and why
it wasnt detected previously
Establish and introduce proper corrective actions
Validate whether corrective actions are efficiently,
problem is monitored
Determine and introduce structural action to
Prevent reoccurrance
Verify introduced action in 7D and close the action,
dissolution the team
