Ecuador exports more than 90% of Balsa wood is exported worldwide. This is
no coincidence; The reason for this is that Ecuador due to their environment,
altitude and climate provides a more stable when it comes to wood density.
The shape, softness and color features are also privileged when it comes
Ecuadorian Balsa.

The growth of this tree normally takes between 4 and 6 years, is one of the
fastest growing in the world, making it easy to crop. All Wood has Ecuadorian
government permission for export, so any wood that you receive from
Ecuador has full authorization for shipment.
La Balsa is not a tree in danger because of its rapid growth, it facilitates
reproduction. Its scientific name is Ochroma pyramidale. The density of the
timber is between 65 to 230 kg / cbm, however, the average between 150
and 160 kg / cbm.
