PRODUCT HISTORY

1940 SATO is established as a manufacturer of bamboo processing machinery

1958 Began production and sales of packaging machinery

1962 Began production and sale of the hand labeler
1964 Began production of labels
1986 Established factory in Malaysia for hardware production
1987 Established group company in USA and Singapore
1989 Established group company in Germany
1994 SATO is listed in the second section of the Tokyo Stock
Exchange
1996 Acquired UK company Nor Systems (now SATO UK)
1997 SATO is listed in the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange
2001 Established company for overseas group company
management, SATO
international, in Singapore
2002 Established group companies in China, Belgium and Poland
2003 Development, and start of production and sale of RFID printers
2004 Began hardware production in Vietnam
Began label production in Poland and Malaysia
2005 Acquired French company LEtiquetage Rationnel (now SATO
FRANCE)
