PRESENTATION ON
GSM BASED ENERGY METER REMOTE
MONITORING

INTRODUCTION
Objective of this project is remote monitoring
of energy meter using GSM modem.
This can be achieved by the Microcontroller
unit which continuously monitors and records
energy meter reading in its permanent
memory location.
The system mainly consist of Energy meter,
GSM modem, Microcontroller unit and LCD
display.
LED indicators can be connected to show
various outputs.

WORKING
Energy meter measures the power consumed
by the load. The pulses that drives the led of
the meter are given to the microcontroller .
Microcontroller counts the number of pulses
and thus compute the power consumed .
The GSM modem is connected to the
microcontroller which is used to remote
access the system .
LCD display is used to show the output .
