Notes regarding the new GA: Piping system
AC unit uses hoses, not piping like our systems
As per safety regulations (DIN 20066), hoses should be replaced after 6 years (incl. possible
storage time)
Hoses can age and subsequently become porous = Safety risk
Even when changed at the specified periods, service costs are higher
Hoses must be replaced in the event of the following occurring:
- Damage to the outer layer up to the unit occurs (e.g. chafe marks, cuts, tears)
- Embrittlement of the outer layer occurs (formation of cracks in the hose material)
- Deformation of the hoses natural shape whether pressurised or not, or through bending, e.g.
delamination, formation of blisters

Hoses must be replaced in the event of the following occurring:

- Leakages
- Damage or deformation of hose fittings (sealing performance affected),
no change necessary is superficial exterior damage occurs
- Hose works loose from the fitting
- Corrosion affecting performance and secureness of the fitting
- Installation requirements have not been followed
