One way of adding moisture to air is by passing it through water sprays or

air
washers. Normally the water used is recirculated rather than wasted. Then,
in the steady state, the water is at adiabatic saturation temperature,
which is the same wet-bulb temperature. The air passing through the
washer
is cooled, and if the time between the air and the water is long enough, the
air will be at the wet-bulb temperature also.
However, we shall assume that the washer is small enough so that the air
does not reach wet-bulb temperature; instead, the following conditions
prevail:
