Aim

The

English Language Curriculum

By the end of Year 6, pupils should be able to:

How are you? I hope you are well. Everyone here is fine.
In your email, you wanted to know more about the best tourist
attraction in Sabah. Well, the favourite attraction is none other than
Kinabalu Park. It is located some 2 hours from Kota Kinabalu. The
journey takes on a long and winding mountain road with spectacular
views of the Crocker Range. Kinabalu Park is possibly the most
scenic national park in Malaysia.
The star attraction here is Mount Kinabalu. Mount Kinabalu is
the highest mountain in Malaysia. It stands over 4,000 metres tall.
This mountain is also a World Heritage Site. The dense jungles
contain species of flora and fauna that are protected. Thousands of
avid mountain climbers climb Mount Kinabalu, go sight-seeing the
various plant species and camping in the park.
Besides, you can get to the charming highland town of Kundasang,
which is 5 minutes away from the park where you can buy freshly
grown vegetables and fruits along the many roadside stalls.
I am sure you will be unwilling to go back to the city centre while
enjoying the cool weather in the park.

One day, a buffalo was taking a sip of water at the rivers edge. Suddenly, it saw a hunter. The hunter was about to shoot a
crocodile.
It was sunning itself on the river bank. The buffalo lowed loudly and this startled the crocodile. It quickly slid into the river and
swam away.
The next day, the buffalo felt thirsty. So, it went to the river again. As it was sipping the water, the crocodile came up silently. It
bit the buffalos leg and pulled it towards the water. The buffalo kicked out but it was hopeless. The crocodile pulled it into the river.
