Question 2

Olivia Timmins

2. What have you learnt about technologies from

the process of constructing this product?
I have learnt how to manage my time when completing these tasks. I have
managed to do this through the use of my blogger account as I can update
it whenever I like and add whatever I like to it. On my blogger account I
created a diary in which I can do this, my diary helps me know when I last
completed a task and what I need to do next. I feel like creating a diary
was a very good way in helping me complete this task and ensure that I did
everything correctly.
2. Additionally, from completing these tasks I have also
learnt how to use Photoshop and the different tools on the
software. I have learnt how to crop a background, inverse and
delete it to make only the selected image stay on the screen.
Photoshop also allowed me to learn different skills on how to
change the mise en scene of an image. I did this by changing
the colour of text and placing it in different areas on my page.
I think by doing this it helped create my magazine and make it
more personal to the reader / target audience.
3. From doing this project I have learnt how to embed links from different
websites; the websites I have used are Prezi, Emaze and Slideshare. After
creating a product on these websites I was able to embed the presentations
and place them on my blogger account where everyone can see them.

4. Also, from completing these tasks I have learnt how to use blogger and the tools on the
website. I learnt how to change the times that I uploaded my blogs so they can all be
placed in the correct order. This helped me a lot because if I needed to update an old blog
I wouldnt then have to worry about my posts being in the wrong order. I also learnt that I
can upload photos, links, embedded links and photos onto my blogger.
5. Another thing that I have learnt from this task is how to transfer still media
from a camera onto a computer then onto my blog. This helped me because
Instead of struggling in lessons and trying to find a way to upload the images
I can do it straight away and not waste any more time and get on with my tasks
almost immediately. The other positive of this is that my straight from the
camera I took the photos on.
6. I also learnt how to scan my work onto
The computer. This again helped me a lot
as instead of taking bad quality photos of
my work and sending them to myself, I was
able to scan them straight onto my
computer and put them on my blog. This
saved me a lot of time and also makes my
work look better quality and a lot nicer to
look at than a photograph.
