HISTORY OF BIN QURAYA

In 1975 Mr. Awad Bin Quraya and Mr. Sadiq, a Bahrain national,
formed a joint venture company known as "ASCO" with a paid up
capital of SR. 100,000.00 to
pursue small projects on
sub-contract basis from the main
contractors for Saudi Aramco projects.
The hard work and dedication of
"ASCO was soon recognized by
Saudi Aramco and it was included in the list of Short Form
Contracts for Civil & Mechanical work. At that time the company
employed 20-25 workers including the owners and the only
equipment the company owned at the time was an old Crane,
three Pick-ups trucks and a couple of compressors.

Incorporate in an efficient manner quality and HSE in their strategic and business plans and
in all their activities
Foster a continuous improvement culture in their work methods and procedures and their
application to all activities, promoting a philosophy prevention before remedy. Do it right
the first time
Establish objectives in quality and HSE matters and review them periodically.
Satisfy all requirements established by client, current legislation and applicable codes, as
well as any further requirements that company may choose to endorse
Provide staff, partners and other collaborators, with adequate and continuous training
Promote quality and HSE knowledge of their staff , partners and other collaborators,
encouraging their awareness.
Creating lines of communication with staff and other interested parties
Know and evaluate their clients level of satisfaction and introduce practical and appropriate
improvements
Take into account the efficient use of energy, protection of the environment and prevention
of pollution in all company activities
Foster a philosophy of accident prevention in order to provide all staff with a safe and
healthy work environment

PK ABS SITE GENERAL RULE AND INFORMATION

There are no form of labor strike allowed in this project.


Security will immediately removed anyone who will initiate any
form of demonstration.
Pedestrian Crossing shall be used by all staff working in PK
ABS project
No ID, No gate Pass No vehicle sticker No entry policy are
observed in the project
Chinstraps for Safety Helmets are mandatory to use in the
project site.
20kph are the allowable speed limit
No smoking on a non smoking area. Especially in the Vehicles
No Parking on a non parking area. Observed Reserved Parking
It is not allowed to eat or sleep at the construction site
As a workers no customized tools are allowed to used in the
site

PK ABS SITE GENERAL RULE AND INFORMATION


Visitors are required to attend a visitor orientation training and
must be escorted by any PK ABS Employees
There are contest for safety slogan and safety worker for the day.
On the spot gift giving will be recognized.
Everyone is mandatory to attend a mass tool box (Site Workers)
100% tie off in height of 1.8 meters and other elevated areas
Confined Space Areas is for trained personnel only to enter
Personal Protective Equipment are all mandatory at site area at
all times.
