HISTORY OF C-REP

Began 10 years ago (June 2006)


Intensive in home practice
Evidence-based practice (MST)
Purpose was to serve under privileged African-American Males

MST MODEL
Multisystemic Therapy: Family and home based treatment strive to change how
youth function in their natural settings.
Promote positive social behaviors and decrease anti-social behaviors.
Target population: Youth (12-17) at risk of out of home placement due to
antisocial, aggressive or delinquent behaviors and/or youth involved with the
juvenile system.

Goals
Eliminate or significantly reduce the frequency and severity of the youth's referral
behavior(s)
Empower parents/caregiver with the skills and resources needed to independently
address the inevitable difficulties that arise in raising children and adolescents
Empower youth to cope with family, peer, school, and neighborhood problems

Provide services to youth and their families who may face emotional, and/or
behavior challenges.

Help individuals learn, regain, and/or improve everyday living skills that have
been lost due to mental health symptoms and/or substance abuse
