If I have been a Philhealth
member for only one month,
can I use it if I get
hospitalized today?

ANSWER
EMPLOYEES in the government and private

sectors includingkasambahaysand family


drivers, as well as self-earning individuals
must have paid at least three months
premium contributions within the immediate
six-month period prior to the first day of
confinement so they can avail themselves of
their benefits from the Philippine Health
Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth)- PhilHealth
Circular 32 s.2014

Question 2:

Does my spouse still need to


get his own Philhealth
account, if he/she is already
my dependent?

Answer
For immediate purposes, your

spouse doesnotneed a
Philhealth account if he/she is
listed as your dependent. Your
spouse will get Philhealth
benefits under your account. But
he/she can still get his own
account if he/she wishes to.

Question 3:

Do I need to renew my
PhilHealth membership
if I leave the country
and work as an OFW?

Answer
It's not actually renewal of

membership but an updating of


your premiums, which shall be
equivalent to the length (in
years) of your fresh contract. It
will also ensure your continuous
eligibility to PhilHealth benefits.

Question 4:

What is the age limit of becoming


a PhilHealth member ?

Answer
There is no age limit, although generally if

you become 21 years old, you should have


your own membership already.
Those who are below the age of 21 can be
declared as dependents of their Parents, if no
parents are available, they can apply for
membership provided a guardian is available
to co sign their membership.

Question 5:

I recently resigned from my job, can


I continue paying my membership
at PhilHealth ?

Answer
Yes you can. Just go to the

nearest PhilHealth Office and


inform them and fill up a form
changing your membership
category from employed to Self
Employed or Voluntary.

I have a question to philhealth I hope

sa riyadh,sa kasamaang palad po ay
naaksidente ako,naputulan ako ng 2
dalire,anu po ba ang maari kong gawin
para makakuha ako ng benefits o
kabayaran sa nangyare sakin? may
makukuha ba akong benefits sa
philhealth kahit nandito pa ako sa
riyadh? active po ako sa philhealth dahil
bago ako umalis ng pinas bayad po ang
isang buong taon ng philhealth ko..pls

Bakit ganon po ang bagong policy nyo

(Philhealth).. kailangan atleast 4 days ang


nakaconfine bago maclaim ang Philhealth
benefit? For what? Pano kapag sinabi ng
Pedia ng baby ko na 3rd day pwede na sya
idischarge, ibig sabihin kailangan ko pa sya
iextend ng isang araw pa para maclaim lang
yung benefit sa inyo. Kalokohan naman po
ata yon.. kasi di nyo ba naisip na dagdag
lang sa bill namin yan, yung doctors
fee,bayad sa room. Sana ibalik nyo nalang po
sa dati na kahit 24 hourskasi malaking
kalokohan yang 96 hours na yan..

Kasi abala din po samin na magulang

na nagtatrabaho. imbis ilang araw lang


kami aabsent, eh magiging 4 days gawa
ng pointless policy nyo na buti ba sana
kung sagot nyo kalahati ng bill namin, eh
hindi naman.. kokonti lang din naman
ang mababawas.. Sana po gawan nyo ng
action to.. Kasi sa totoo lang, kawawa
yung mga walang card at mga pasyente
nyo na sa inyo (Philhealth) lang
