We decided to ask this question because we want to

appeal to a wider audience this means that we can
get answers from both male and female to get there
perspective on what they like. From the statistics
above, we have discovered that more female have
answered this survey compared to male.

Q2. WHAT TYPE OF GENRE ARE YOU

INTO?

Knowing what genre people like plays a big part in

making our final production. This is because we need to
know what our audience would like to see in our opening
sequence. From what we can see, comedy is the most
favoured genre.

Q3. WHAT GENRE DO YOU LEAST

ENJOY?

From what can from this graph, a lot of people do not

like horror films. The data shows that more than of
people dislike it and no body dislikes adventure. This
is probably because they dislike the jump scares and
the score

Q4. ROUGHLY HOW OFTEN DO YOU

WATCH FILMS A MONTH?

From what we can see here,

our audience watch films
quite frequently, this is good
because we can see that
they would know what
elements to look for and we
can also get good feedback
from it. The statistics show
that more people watch at
least 5 or more.

Q5. WHAT DO YOU ENJOY ABOUT

WATCHING MOVIES?

This is a very important factor in deciding

what to add in our opening sequence. This is
because it helps us understand what the
audience want to see. From the data I can see
that they like to have a good narrative. This is
very good for my opening sequence that I am
about to create because I know what
elements people want to see

This extra information is very useful to me

because the platform that I am going to
upload to is Youtube because its a free and
easy to use platform. However the only
problem about this is that due to our
responses we can see that not one single
person watches films on YouTube which is
very hard for us to show a lot of people,
which is 0%.

to the wider society. From the data
collected we can infer that a small
amount of people

DO YOU LIKE URBAN FILMS
This question is very useful when creating my
opening sequence because my sequence will consist
of urban elements which gives it one of its titles.
From what I can see, for a genre thats not really
seen on televison or in cinemas often it got a decent
ration of 6 out 10 this means that people would not
mind seeing urban elements in the opening
sequence.

Q9.ON A SCALE OF 1-10, HOW MUCH

DO YOU LIKE HORROR FILMS.
From what I can see from the data given is that
thriller is a genre that is not favoured by a lot of
peole since it got a pretty low rating of 4.5/10 this
shows that people arent really into the strong
enigma codes that thrillers may present in the
opening sequences in films.

Q10. WHAT ELEMENT WOULD YOU

USE OR EXPECT TO SEE IN A URBAN
THRILLER?
Having feedback from what your audience want to hear is
very important to hear especially when it comes to worded
responses. This is where the respondents give there own
opinion on what they want to see and what element they
would want. This could suggest that they may be interested in
my idea. The fact that all the respondent gave a good answer
shows that its good and probably going to make sense.
