HISTORY FOUNDER
OF UBL
Agha hasan abedi founder of united bank limited was born on 14 th May,
1922 in luck now British India.
He started the carrier as a banker before the independence of Pakistan
from a bank name India. After the independence of Pakistan he migrated
there and continued his carrier as a banker

History of UBL
Founder Agha Hassan Abedi
November 7th 1959.
Nationalized in 1976
Privatized in Oct 2002.

Introduction
United bank was established in 1959.
First branch was established at Karachi.
Union bank was merged as united bank.
Now it has more than 1300 branches (Pakistan).
UBL has 15 overseas branches.
UBL has good track record of fifty six years.
UBL has assets of Rs.300 billion.
In 1963, UBL became the first bank in Pakistan to have a branch overseason William Street in London, United Kingdom.
1971, UBL once again paved the way by launching 3 online branches in
Karachi.

OPERATIONS
INTERATIONAL OPERATIONS:
United Bank Limited is currently running its huge network in five
countries i.e., UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Yemen, and USA. Moreover,
UBL is also working internationally along with its subsidiary offices
in UK, Tanzania and Switzerland. United Bank Limited offers a
variety of its products and services at international level. For
example, UBL offer Tezraftaar Cash which is a new home
remittance delivery service, primarily to facilitate Pakistanis living
abroad in sending money to their loved ones in minute in
Pakistan. In the same way, UBL Tezraftaar Pardes Card is another
unique product for its customers that give them a relief in
receiving their money without visiting to the banks branch, as
they can withdraw for any ATM machine. UBLs customer can also
use this card for directly spending through all VISA accepting
outlets across
Pakistan.
